Brainstorming:
At the beginning, I
think about exploration games I have played. I find that they all have the
intriguing storyline, smooth operation, challenging puzzles, good level design,
concept, united art style and great gating system.

Game Script
Background: Recently, a lot of kids has been missing. After Dr. Duke’s investigation, he found out that all the clues pointed to one place. Therefore, Dr. Duke invited detective Vincent to investigate a mystery voodoo hut. This Hut is in the swamp, and it belongs to a new voodoo queen of the Louisiana named Marie Laveau. This queen is said to be the most powerful in the voodoo community, and she also has the same name as the most famous voodoo queen in 1900’s.
Scene: A voodoo hut with meeting room, basement, and bedroom(attic). Outside is the swamp, and we can only see few scenes from some windows.
Time: Dusk.
Conditions: Misty and gloomy. Limited visibility.
Characters:
Dr. Duke Male. Early 50’s
Vincent Wilson Player character. Male. Late 20’s.
Marie Laveau Female Early 40’s

The front door is unlocked, and the voodoo queen just left this house. Go inside.
SECTION A1: Intro to characters and setting scene.
Upon level load, we stay in the black. We hear a shot light sound of glass broken.
Fade up from black. We see a meeting room. The light is shining through the window, but rest of parts still look gloomy.
VINCENT WILSON
Where does the sound come from? It seems from the upper-left corner.
We are free to explore the meeting room. Out four windows of this room, there is a view of some branches of trees.
If the player walks to the exit he tells himself,
VINCENT WILSON
I can’t leave. I haven’t finished my work yet.
When we walk up to the upper-left corner, we can find some glass pieces, and also a door behind this pieces. The door to next room is locked. When we walk up to it, it checks to see if we have the key using our GATING MECHANISM. We don’t have the key yet, so the player character talks to himself,
VINCENT WILSON
The door is locked, I should look around and find the key.
SET OBJECTIVE: Objective text pops up in the middle of the screen,

Check the Altar
The player must walk around the room until he finds the silver key by getting close enough to activate the trigger around it. There is a sacrificial altar, which in the middle-left of the room, and he can find the key here. Once he does…
VINCENT WILSON
Got it! Now, go to next room.
We walk through the door, and we can see a damp, dark basement. It’s like a prison cell full of skulls and animal corpses. The player character says,
VINCENT WILSON
Where are the kids? It seems that they have been transferred to other places. I must find more clue.
We walk up to the next door to the bedroom. The trigger is active, and we hear a loud sound of someone opening the front door. Someone says,
MARIE LAVEAU
Hum…Did a mouse sneak in my house?
VINCENT WILSON
The queen is back, so I need to find a shelter at first.
When we get closer to the left corner of the jail cell, we can hear a louder sound of Marie opened the second door. She says,
MARIE LAVEAU
I need to take the list and back to the tree house as soon as possible.
We stay in black, and Marie will activate the trigger of bedroom’s room for us. Then, we hear a sound of Marie closed the front door.

Search the bedroom.
Here are three different masks hanging on the wall. When the player walks near it he says,
VINCENT WILSON
Try to mix and reshuffle this masks.
Once the player moves it in a right way, the secret door will open.
